Jareesh consists of cracked wheat, yogurt, meat, or chicken. Some areas like to add crushed tomatoes to give the mixture a beautiful red color. 

Cooking Instructions

Over the stove, add the cracked wheat and the yogurt in a pot and stir using a cooking wood spoon called “Miswat.” Then, add the meat or chicken. After hours of cooking, pour the mixture on a plate and add the ghee or butter alongside dried lemon on top.
