Masjid al-Taneem is considered one of the most important Islamic landmarks in Makkah and is also called the mosque of the Mother of Believers Aisha Bint Abu Bakr – May Allah Be Pleased with Them – because she prayed and performed Ihram there in the Farewell Pilgrimage.  The mosque is now a place where the people of Makkah perform Ihram, and receives people all year round.  It is distinguished by its modern Islamic architectural style mixed with historical authenticity and exquisite decorations.
