The original structure, crafted from black basalt stones, withstood the passage of time, though only remnants remained before recent renovations. Under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Historical Mosques Care Program, the mosque was restored while preserving its authentic character. Today, its open-roof design, wooden beams supporting the historic walls, and soft lantern lighting recreate the essence of early Islamic architecture. The white marble flooring contrasts beautifully with the dark volcanic rock, offering visitors a serene and immersive spiritual experience.
